I expressed curiosity to this album, although knew that there was no buena onda. This a recording of a rehearsal. I won’t be surprised if they recorded it right in Fanguito. This album, in my opinion, has what "Soy Cubano soy popular" lacks - a doubtless super hit, with which the album begins - "Gozando a lo Cubano". Muy de Charanga, muy de timba, muy de Cuba. It’s strange, but I don’t share Calzado’s rapturous emotions about this album. I admit that there may be criteria unknown to me, but from the musical point of view I like this album the least of all that was issued by Charanga Habanera. Strange album. It has many ballads a-la Alejandro Sanz, although I’m sure there will be many admirers of such a style transformation, especially since Calzado & Co have all the rights to any experiments.
